Africa Charity Organizations Spreading Hope

The statistics surrounding poverty in Africa are alarming. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, over 10 million Kenyans face starvation and 52% of it's people live below the poverty line. 40% of Kenyans are unemployed, and there are thousands of children simply living in the streets. A number of Africa charity organizations seek to change those statistics, but at Fruited Plains, this is the staple of our organization.

Fruited Plains is among the few Africa charity organizations committed to spreading the word of God. At Fruited Plains, we believe that there is no better news than The Good News, and the knowledge that the God who created the universe knows your struggle, loves you, and wants to see you through it.

About Fruited Plains

Fruited Plains began in January of 2004 when the founders of Fruited Plains, Mike and Michele Robison, went on a mission trip to Kenya with their church. On that trip, they were first hand witnesses to the devastating effects of poverty, but also to the joy that the people of Kenya possess despite their troubles.

At Fruited Plains, we have been truly touched by these people, and it is our mission to help them. We do not merely force the message of God upon them, but instead, we work with churches and community leaders in Kenya, organizations and individuals who know the needs of the people in their local villages, and together we decide the best ways to help them. At Fruited Plains, that involves not only immediate assistance, but a plan to make the people of these communities self-sufficient.
