Fruited Plains' first project is the Planting Seeds project. Planting Seeds attacks the issue of starvation by providing maize seed that can be planted year after year. Within the Planting Seeds project, individuals give to Africa and, with the help of Fruited Plains, effectively eliminate the two biggest expenses in farming: seeds and fertilizer. By making farming less expensive, malnutrition and starvation are less rampant, and the citizens of Kenya learn to be self-sustaining in terms of food.
The Building Hope project, Fruited Plains' second project, promotes hope in the future by providing small, interest free business loans to the hard working people of Kenya. Recipients of the loans, which come from Fruited Plains' donations for Africa, meet with a mentor on a monthly basis for the term of the loan, and at those meetings, these individuals are held accountable for their investment. In addition, these individuals are encouraged in their endeavors, and provided with praise and prayer from their mentors.
Finally, Fruited Plains' Caring For Kids projects helps the children living on the streets in Kenya and still more children living in slums. Give to Africa and the Caring for Kids project, and your funds will go to a number of schools and organizations based in Kenya that provide food, medical care, and school supplies.
