Fruited Plains is an organization committed to the advancement of Africa's people. We believe that with the help of numerous Kenya organizations, the people of Kenya can become self sufficient, but to do so, they need our assistance.

Fruited Plains is a 501 © (3) Kenya non profit charitable organization. We believe that everyone should have food, shelter, and an opportunity to provide for themselves and their family, and we have created three different projects to promote self sufficiency in those areas.

At Fruited Plains, we believe in the following credo:

"If you give a man a handout, you refine his skill for begging. If you give a man a hand-up, you refine his self-worth."

For that reason, each one of our programs focuses on self-sufficiency. We do not provide only food, instead, we have provided the people of Kenya with a special maize seed, one that can be planted year after year, effectively eliminating one of the largest farming expenses the people of Kenya face. In addition to seed, we teach the people of Kenya to make compost, eliminating the need for fertilizer (another large expense), and how to budget and operate in a way that provides food for their family and profits to be spent on other necessities. In this way, our Kenya non profit organization is truly unique.
